St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival Weekend in Newbridge, Kildare
The much-anticipated Newbridge St. Patrick's Day Parade in Kildare is set to return on Monday, 17 March 2025, promising an unforgettable day for the community following last year’s triumphant event.
With 55 incredible entries lined up this year, parade-goers can expect a visual feast of spectacular floats and captivating displays designed to entertain and inspire.
The Parade Committee has been hard at work organising a vibrant celebration under this year’s engaging theme: Celebrating Irish Music and Culture.
We invite all floats and participants to immerse themselves in this theme, showcasing the rich tapestry of Irish heritage through music, dance, and artistry. We are excited to witness the creativity of our community come alive in this vibrant celebration.
This year, we are thrilled to announce our continued special collaboration with the Curragh Racecourse during the St. Patrick's Festival weekend. Join us on Sunday, 16 March, for an exhilarating day of racing paired with the best of Traditional Irish
music, sure to set the stage for an unforgettable weekend. Our parade would not be possible without the generous support of Kildare County Council.
Local pubs will also join the festivities, organising traditional music evenings throughout the St. Patrick's Festival weekend, allowing everyone to soak in the rich cultural ambiance. Shop fronts are a major part of the Festival with awards for the
three best St Patrick's Day window displays.
As we look forward to the celebrations, the Parade Committee would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt condolences on the recent passing of Tony Donohue. Tony was a generous supporter of our parade, donating the Parade
Awards every year. His commitment to celebrating Newbridge and his contribution to our community will be greatly missed.
“We are delighted to bring this event to the community each year,” said Carl Murphy, Chairman of the Committee. “Last year’s parade was a tremendous success, filled with music, dancing, and a vibrant atmosphere. We are eager to build on that
momentum and create an even more memorable experience this year.”.
