BREAKING: Kildare teen to appear in court over €500k seizure of powerful drugs
Last night, as part of an intelligence-led operation, Gardaí and Revenue officers seized 10.19kgs of the drug 4Methyl methcathinone HCL (M-Cat) with an estimated value of approximately €500,000 (subject to analysis) in Newbridge, Kildare.
A male, aged 18, was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained at a Garda Station in Co. Kildare under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Gardaí have charged the teenager and he is due to appear before Naas District Court, this morning, Tuesday.
This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Newbridge Drugs and Crime Unit.
Investigations are ongoing.
