Kildare film about a bog monster premiering at Dublin Film Festival tomorrow

A film shot in Kildare, featuring a bog monster and actress Mary McEvoy (AKA Biddy from Glenroe), is to have it's Dublin premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival tomorrow.

Peat is a short comedy about a widow who builds herself a man out of bogland, but her man-boy son finds out and has a conniption. It was filmed on locations in Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park and other locations nearby. It was written and directed by Padraig Baggott. The cast includes Mary McEvoy, Andrea Irvine, Chris Walley and Michael Power.
