A man drove down the road banging his head off the steering wheel, his ex partner alleged at Naas District Court.
The woman said she is residing with her parents and lives in fear of verbal abuse from her ex.

The man did not appear in court and was not represented.
The woman said she is seeing someone else and a family member of her ex-partner said she was not be seen with this person.
She also told the court that he sees their child according to an arrangement between them but she said she had concerns about herself and the child. She claimed he had come near to where she lives.
Judge Michael Ramsey granted her a protection order. The judge said there should be no communication between them except in relation to access to the child, which could be done via text messaging.
He adjourned the case to June 9.
