An Garda Síochána Kildare over the past week seized a total of 35 vehicles for No Insurance, No Tax, No Nct and Learner Permit Holder Unaccompanied.
Kildare Gardaí also arrested ten motorists for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs.
Gardaí said: "Remember to please have your vehicle correctly on the road."
"Drink or Drug Driving destroys lives – at best, you could lose your licence but far worse, is the possibility of seriously injuring or killing someone on the roads.
"Remember, any alcohol or drugs impairs driving.”
Meanwhile the Naas Roads Policing Unit also performed a Speed Check on the R409 at Halverstown, Co Kildare recently.
They detected a motorist travelling at 99km/h in the 60km/h zone.
This motorist was an Unaccompanied Learner Permit Holder who had no L-plates displayed.
The Nass RPU officer was amazed when told by this motorist they were returning home from a driving lesson!
This vehicle was seized and the driver received €440 in fines as well as 3 penalty points issued.
Gardaí added that the location is an accident blackspot and that road users must observe the speed limits in the area.
