Call for action over flooding issues at Kildare industrial estate

The site is adjacent to the former Naas GAA club

Recent heavy rainfall created flooding issues at the Naas Industrial Estate , off Dublin road in the town.

Naas mayor Fintan Brett asked at a Naas Municipal District committee meeting who is responsible for the upkeep of the public areas in the Fishery Lane estate.

“Nobody seems to be responsible,” he said, adding that KCC should ensure that a management company is in place.

KCC pointed out that the facility has not been taken in charge by it.

The council also said that the maintenance of public areas in the estate is a matter for the businesses there.
