A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council for the change of use of an existing ground floor bank to a doctor's surgery, at Main Street, Maynooth, Co Kildare.

Also in the plans are the change in use of first floor from vacant office to a one-bedroom apartment, and the construction of a rear balcony extension at first floor level.

Amendments of the existing front facade are also to be made, to include new door and windows (three options proposed, a, b and c, with option 'a' being the preferred option for the proposed development) at ground floor level and all associated site works.

The architect in charge of the project is Whyte Planning Consultants Limited, and the estimated cost of the development is €248k.
