Gardaí based in County Kildare are investigating an incident of criminal damage which occurred in Newbridge.
The incident was discussed on KFM earlier today by Community Garda Aidan McGuane from Maynooth.
He said that the incident took place on the morning of Thursday, March 13 last in the Páirc Mhuire estate.
Gda McGuane explained that a resident of the estate discovered that the tyres of their car were ''slashed'' with a bladed instrument.
In addition, he said that garda are looking into acquiring CCTV footage showing the incident.
He concluded by urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045-440-180.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the offence, a garda spokesperson said: ''Gardaí are aware of an incident of criminal damage that occurred at a residential property on March 13, 2025 at approximately 6am.
''No arrests have been made.''
The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing at present.
