A total of 66 new homes have been proposed for Kildare town, a planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council (KCC) shows.
Thoval Properties Limited is seeking permission from KCC to construct the homes at "1.89 hectares east of R415, townland of Kildare and Whitesland East, Kildare town".
Specifically, the company is seeking to construct: 16 three-bed semi-detached two-storey houses; 2 three-bed terraced two-storey houses; 1 two-bed terraced two-storey house; 1 four-bed detached two-storey house; 8 two-bed ground floor duplex units; 8 three-bed duplex units first and second floor; and 30 two-bed apartments in three-storey blocks.
Planning permission is also being sought for "access roads, public open spaces, and associated services".
The date received on the application is listed as March 14 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as April 17 and May 8 respectively.
According to the business information site SoloCheck.ie, Thoval Properties Ltd was established in 1989.
The business "specialises in the general construction of buildings and civil engineering works", and has an address listed as Kilmeague in Naas.
