Kildare County Council is being asked about how social housing is allocated across the county to people on the waiting list.
A detailed report on all social housing allocations over the past five years has been requested.

It comes from two councillors - Chris Pender and Pat Balfe.
The Social Democrats councillors want to know if allocations have been made “in accordance with the principle of ‘time on the list’ “ - as outlined in a scheme in place within KCC.
The politicians are seeking a statistical breakdown of allocations, including information about the reason for allocation, the order of priority and the length of time applicants had been on the housing list before receiving an offer.
They also want to know the “percentage of allocations made strictly based on time on the list” compared with allocations made under priority categories.
