Gardaí in Kildare have issued several fixed charge notices to motorists in a notorious area of the country that received several complaints from people in the community.
In a post on Facebook, Kildare Gardaí said,
"Naas Community Gardai have been engaging with the Community in Sallins in recent weeks.
"This Community voiced concerns with regard to road users breaking red lights where school children use the pedestrian crossing.
"As a result Community Policing Naas attended this location where they detected issued Numerous FCPNs to motorists for breaking red lights. FCPNS were also issued to motorists for holding mobile phone while driving. Continued enforcement will be maintained to help keep our communities safe.
"Remember the Rules of the Road and Road Traffic Legislation* If you break it we'll enforce it."
