Planning application submitted by Naas, Kildare school

A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council by Coill Dubh National School, Naas, Co Kildare.

The school plans to demolish an existing water tower structure and single storey annex to the rear of the existing part two storey school building (floor area of structures to be demolished = 67.5sqm.)

It also plans to erect a two-storey extension to the side/rear of the existing part two storey school building (floor area of existing part two storey school building = 1,245.65sqm)

This would incorporate a two classroom special education unit and ancillary facilities at ground floor level and one mainstream classroom and one set room over at first floor level, together with the erection of a single storey set room extension to the rear courtyard (total floor area of extensions = 460sqm).

Also included in the plans are amendments to the existing car parking layout and all associated site works.

The €699k project is being managed by McLoughlin Architecture.
