New €4.5m Lidl store to come to Kildare town
Lidl Ireland has secured planning permission to build a new €4.5m store in Sallins, Kildare.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), the store, at Millbank, Sallins W91 H016, is to include an ancillary off-licence on an extended site.
The new store involves the demolition of an existing single storey discount foodstore (with ancillary off-licence use), measuring c. 1745sqm with a net retail sales are of c. 1,286 sqm.
A new single storey discount foodstore supermarket is to be constructed on the site with ancillary off-licence use (with mono-pitch roof and internal mezzanine plant deck) measuring 2,356 sqm gross floor space with a net retail sales area of 1,497 sqm.
There is also to be construction of a single storey building comprising a cafe unit measuring c 150sqm (with ancillary outdoor seating area) and retail / commercial unit building measuring c. 97 sqm.
Redevelopment/reconfiguration and extension of the existing site layout is also included in the plans, as well as car parking and hard and soft landscaping.
There is also to be provision and renewal of boundary treatments, free standing and building mounted signage, trolley bay enclosure, refrigeration and air conditioning plant and equipment, electricity sub-station, public lighting.
There will also be electric vehicle charging infrastructure, roof mounted solar panels, cycle parking, modification of existing drainage, utility and services infrastructure and connections, waste storage facilities, and all other associated and ancillary development and works above and below ground level.
The architects in charge of the project are Darmody Architects.
