An information appeal has been launched by gardaí after an e-scooter stolen outside of a hotel in County Kildare.

Garda David Prendergast of Naas Garda Station discussed the incident when he appeared on KFM yesterday morning (April 2 last).

According to Gda Prendergast, a black e-scooter was stolen of outside the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth on Saturday, March 29 last between 2pm and 4pm.

"The owner was in the hotel gym at the time of the theft, and the scooter had been locked," Gda Prendergast added.

He also said that gardaí are reviewing CCTV footage in relation to the incident and are also seeking information from any potential witnesses.

Lastly, Gda Prendergast said that anyone with information about the theft can contact Maynooth Garda Station on 01 629 2380.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson provided the following response: "Gardaí are investigating the unauthorized taking of a vehicle that occurred on March 29, 2025 at approximately 3pm in Maynooth, County Kildare.

"No arrests have been made at this time."

They concluded: "Investigations are ongoing".
