Gardaí probing burglary and theft from car in this Kildare town. File photograph
Gardaí in County Kildare are probing an incident involving a burglary and theft from car in Newbridge.
Discussing the crime on KFM yesterday (April 9 last) was Garda Shane Smyth of Naas Garda Station.
He explained that the incident took place in the Allenview Heights region on the morning of Tuesday, April 8 last.
Gda Smyth added that a car outside one of the homes in the region was searched overnight, and that items were stolen from this car.
He further said that gardaí are seeking CCTV and doorbell camera footage in relation to this incident.
Lastly, Gda Smyth said that anyone with information about this crime can contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí at Newbridge are investigating a burglary at a residence and theft from a car in the Allenview Heights area of Newbridge on April 8, 2025."
"Inquiries are ongoing," they added.
