The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) will return to County Kildare next month in order to raise funds for men’s health.
The event, which will commence at Barberstown Castle, is gearing up to bring together classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts from around Ireland and further afield for a charitable cause.
As the organisers explained: "[The] DGR, the world's largest motorcycling charity event, is not just about bikes — it's a Ride Draper style celebration of a bygone era's fashion and fun, all in support of men's health.
"Building upon the success of previous years, the Kildare event enters its third edition with ambitious goals to exceed 250 registered riders, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and compassion that defines the DGR community.
"Over 100,000 riders from more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries are expected to participate, showcasing the global reach and impact of this noble initiative."
Austin O'Callaghan, the event organiser, elaborated: "[The] DGR is a movement that beings together all types of distinguished bike enthusiasts in a common mission to raise awareness and support men's health.”
"Tens of thousands of riders worldwide will don their cravats, tweak their moustaches and ride their classic and vintage motorcycles to shine a light on prostate cancer and men's mental health and suicide prevention programmes."
He added: "We are calling on all Irish riders to do the same and join us at Barberstown Castle in County Kildare."
In addition, the special feature for this year's event will be held in association with Movember Ireland.
Throughout the weekend the Movember Phone Booth will be at Barberstown Castle with 'Talk to the MO and share your Moments'. This installation invites people to share their stories and experiences on men’s mental health.
The DGR 2025 will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
