Tributes to Kildare Garda who passed away

Inspector Cormac Ryan was based at Naas Garda Station

Tributes have been paid to a senior garda based in Naas, Co Kildare who passed away. 
Inspector Cormac Ryan was very popular among his colleagues and members of the public. 

The Ballymore Eustace resident passed away peacefully on Friday last surrounded by his loving family, at Beaumont Hospital.

A tribute on the Kildare Garda Facebook page said: "Today, members of An Garda Síochána Kildare and the wider Garda Community will gather to pay their final respects and farewell to their Collegue and friend Inspector Cormac Ryan.

"Inspector Ryan, an extremely passionate and popular member of An Garda Síochána who loved life passed away after a short illness.
"Inspector Ryan a mentor, leader, the embodiment of service and protection was stationed at Naas Garda Station.
"Cormac will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Kim, his family, friends and all who knew and worked with him.
"Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam."

Inspector Cormac Ryan from Ballymore Eustace passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at Beaumont Hospital.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kim, father Paddy, mother Máirín, brother Barry, sister Fiona, father-in-law Michael, mother-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 Mr Ryan's Funeral Mass will take place at 11am this morning at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace.

Donations in lieu of flowers will be kindly donated to The Irish Cancer Society.
