Warning to Kildare motorists about temporary closure of M7 link road

The M7 motorway

Kildare County Council has advised motorists of temporary road closures at the Junction 14 interchange near Monasterevin in Co Kildare on Thursday night and Friday morning.

The local authority, on behalf of contractor Egis Lagan Services, is obliged to give advance notice under the Roads Act, 1993.

The closures are necessary to facilitate road upgrade works.

The link road between J14 interchange and R445 (traffic from J14 interchange) will close between the R445 turn off to the M7 J14 intersection and the M7 J14 intersection-Eastbound roundabout
from 7pm on May 1 to 5am on May 2.


There will also be a closure of the link road between R445 and J14 interchange. (Traffic from R445) from the M7 J14 intersection-Eastbound roundabout to the T junction with R445 from J14 intersection from 7pm on May 1 to 5am on May 2.

The Council said that diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána.

Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
