Monte Cassino
A Naas author holds an intriguing and informative talk on May 6 in the Town House Hotel, Naas.
James Durney's talk, 'Four funerals and a wedding', will reveal how the discovery of a photograph from the 1940s linked neutral Naas with London during the Blitz and Italy's Monte Cassino, against the background of World War II.
The event is hosted by the Naas Local History Group.
The talk is being held at 8pm on Tuesday, May 6 in the Town House Hotel, Limerick Road, Naas, Co Kildare.
All are welcome to attend.
