An Garda Síochána Kildare's Naas Roads Policing Unit conducted a checkpoint in Kilcock over the May bank holiday weekend which saw the apprehension of two drivers in particular.
The first, the driver of a Renault Megane, attempted to avoid the checkpoint but was quickly stopped.
Gardai found the driver had no insurance or tax, a fake driving licence, and tested positive for cannabis.
The driver was arrested for intoxicated driving, with a court appearance to follow for multiple offences.
Meanwhile, a Skoda driver stopped at the Kilcock checkpoint turned out to be an unaccompanied learner driver, with no 'L' plates displayed.
The driver was issued with a €280 Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN) and two penalty points.
