An alarming 19 motorists were arrested on Kildare's roads over the May bank holiday weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A total of 29 vehicles were also seized, for offences ranging from no insurance; no tax; disqualified drivers; and unaccompanied learner drivers.
Speed checks were also conducted across the county, with a number of notable speeds detected.
These included: 100km/h in a 60km/h zone; 90km/h in a 50km/h zone; 89 km/h in a 50km/h zone; and 83km/h in a 50km/h zone.
An Garda Síochána Kildare's message to the public is: "Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Let’s work together for safer roads. #SaferRoads #GardaTraffic #NaasRPU #RoadPolicing #DriveSafe"
