Klub Kildare U20s with manager Desy Balmer
Klub Kildare U20s toppled Shamrock Rovers 2-1 at Roadstone to complete a home and away double this season after winning the same fixture at FBD park 3-2.
Goals from Mikey Gnutek and Igor Vassenin did the job for Desy Balmer’s U20s and secured a deserved victory. The Kildare side beat a team replete with young players who have featured in both Rovers' senior team and for Ireland at underage level. The win and indeed double is a huge feather in the cap of the Kildare outfit.
