27 motorists were arrested across Kildare over the past week for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
An Garda Síochána Kildare are continuing to remind the public of the serious consequences of intoxicated driving, which include:
Disqualification from driving
Fines of up to €5,000
Imprisonment for up to 6 months
In one alarming case, a motorist arrested in Naas was found to be almost seven times over the legal limit for alcohol.
An Garda Síochána Kildare urge all drivers to make responsible choices and help keep Kildare’s roads safe.
