Planning permission has been granted for a €12.6m motor showroom development in Kildare.
The plans, by Fitzpatrick's Garage Limited are for “Lands bounded by the M7 / M7 Junction no. 13 to the north, the R415 (Nurney Road) to the east, Junction 13 service station to the south and currently undeveloped lands, to the west of Greyabbey (townland), Kildare W34 TV79, Co. Kildare.”
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), as of June 10 2025, the appeal in relation to this planning application has been withdrawn.

The development includes the provision of three motor showrooms in two buildings and a valeting and wash building.
This consists of:
Building 'A', a single storey motor sales showroom and service workshop facility with associated ancillary spaces, with a total gross floor area of 1,567 sq.m. (maximum height of c. 8m);
Building ‘B’, a single storey motor sales showrooms (with mezzanines) and service workshop facility with associated ancillary spaces, with a total gross floor area of 2,326 sq.m. (maximum height of c. 8m); and
Building ‘C’, a single storey motor valeting and wash facility, solely for use as part of the vehicle serving business, with a total gross floor area of 375 sq.m. (maximum height of c. 5m).
The development will also comprise: illuminated signage on the building facades, as well as four free-standing double-sided illuminated pylon signs and three flag poles with double-sided flags.
There are to be revisions to the existing site entrance, customer and staff car parking; bicycle parking; new and used vehicle display parking; vehicle storage area and service parking.
Also included will be electric vehicle charging points; associated lighting; hard and soft landscaping including the provision of boundary treatments.
Gates, fencing, walls and bollards; suds measures; associated site servicing (foul and surface water drainage and water supply); and all other site excavation and development works above and below ground are also included in the plans.
The architect in charge of the project is EMD Architects.
