A total of 49 vehicles have been seized by Kildare/Carlow Roads Policing over the past week, according to An Garda Siochána Kildare.
The vehicles were seized for: no insurance; no tax; no NCT; unaccompanied learner drivers; and disqualified drivers.
Meanwhile, the Naas Roads Policing Unit, while on patrol near Straffan, stopped a vehicle following an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) alert for no insurance.
The driver tested positive for cocaine and was arrested for drug driving.
The vehicle was impounded with court proceedings to follow.
