A man is currently being treated in hospital for "serious" injuries that he sustained in a road traffic collision in Newbridge yesterday.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson responded with the following information: "Gardaí received a report of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred in the Moorefield Road area, County Kildare on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at approximately 12pm.
"The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was conveyed to Naas General Hospital for treatment of injuries which are understood to be serious."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
UPDATE — June 19, 2025, 2.42pm approx: The same spokesperson also said: "Gardaí in Newbridge are now appealing to any witnesses on the Main Street who observed the incident or who may have dashcam footage of the incident to please contact Newbridge Garda station on 045 440 180."
