Gardaí arrested a BMW driver who was detected well over the speed limit on the M7.
The motorist was driving high powered BMW X6 on the motorway.
“This BMW was living up to the slogan — but not in a good way," gardaí stated.
"The Ultimate Driving Machine hit 178 kph on the M7… and straight into Garda a speed check."
Gardaí added: "The driver was arrested and charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
"Drive smart. Drive legal. Stay safe."
