Kildare's Joe Campbell retires after four decades keeping the wheels turning in Clane

Best wishes on your retirement

Clane business man, Joe Campbell has retired after forty years of hard work and dedication.
He family paid tribute to him on the Clane Village Facebook page on July 1, celebrating this incredible milestone.
"After four decades of keeping the wheels turning and the cars gleaming, Joe is hanging up the overalls. His 'tyreless' dedication to providing top-quality tyres and car washes to our local community — and far beyond — has earned him the well-deserved reputation of being a trusted and reliable business leader.
"It all began back in the early '90s, when Joe decided to take a leap of faith and open his own tyre business. Through countless ups and downs over the years, he kept the business going strong. But he didn’t do it alone! Behind the scenes was Rita — a force to be reckoned with.
"If you happened to be in the Campbell household on a Thursday evening, you’d know it was bank and accounts night — and you’d be wise to bring your earplugs! There were always a few “discussions,” a bit of bickering, and more than a few eye-rolls. But we all laughed about it, and through it all, the business never missed a beat. Together, they made it work — a true team.
Though it's the end of an era for Joe Sr., the Campbell Tyres legacy lives on. Joseph Jr. is now in the driver’s seat, with grandson Mark right alongside him, ready to continue what Joe started.
"So here’s to you, Da — may your retirement be filled with well-earned rest, plenty of time with the feet up, and all the things you love. Congratulations on your retirement! With love and pride, Glenn, Annmarie, Fiona, and Joseph — and all in the community and beyond."
