Athy Roads Policing Unit recently conducted a speed check in the Kildangan, Co Kildare area, where a motorist was detected travelling at 89km/h in a 50km/h zone.

A quick roadside check using the #MobilityApp confirmed the driver was disqualified from driving. The driver was arrested and charged, and their vehicle was seized on the spot.

This motorist now faces a day in court.

Thanks to the Mobility App, Gardaí receive live roadside information on drivers — making it easier than ever to identify those who shouldn’t be behind the wheel.
