A Fianna Fáil councillor has asked the council to clarify if Uisce Éireann have provided a specific work plan on traffic restrictions for the mains replacement process on Hazelhatch Road, Celbridge.

Tabling his motion at a recent municipal district meeting, Cllr David Trost stated that these works were due to take place later this year, and asked if this were not the case, when were they expected.

A report issued by the council confirmed that Uisce Éireann are currently carrying out ground investigations on the R405 Hazelhatch Road from Keatings Park in South Dublin County Council (SDCC) to the R403 Lucan Road in Kildare County Council.

According to the local authority, information gathered from these investigations will determine the exact route and position in the road of the new water main.
