Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle on Newbridge Road, Naas, Co Kildare recently, after the driver appeared to be distracted.
The driver produced a licence on demand, but checks using the Garda Mobility App revealed that they were disqualified and had failed to surrender their driving licence as required.

The driver was arrested and conveyed to Naas Garda Station, where they were charged with no driving licence and no insurance.
The driver's vehicle was impounded and the licence was seized.
The driver will appear in court shortly.
