A County Kerry man recently passed through County Kildare as part of a gruelling but inspiring challenge.

Since July 23 last, Brendán O’Neill, has engaged in a very particular journey — he is running 32 marathons in the space of 32 days across all 32 counties of Ireland.

He’s tackling this challenge in order to raise vital funds for Focus Ireland, a group which assists those experiencing homelessness.

According to his sister and supporter, Tara: "This is far more than a personal challenge, it’s a determined effort to tackle one of Ireland’s most critical problems and inspire meaningful change."

Brendán's itinerary for the coming counties can be viewed below:

Those interested in following Brendán's journey can track it on his official Instagram profile.

In addition, anyone who wishes to donate to Brendán's fundraiser can do so by visiting idonate.ie.
