Man threatened to burn down grandmother's home, Kildare court told

A grandmother told Naas District Court that her grandson threatened to burn down her home.

The woman told the court that he had been living in her garage.

She told Judge Michael Ramsey she is afraid.

“He is fine without drink or drugs,” she said.

She also stated that he had since left her property and “as far as I know he’s gone back to his parents."

She came to court seeking protection under family law legislation.

She said he had not been in contact with her since the day before the hearing.

Judge Ramsey granted a protection order and adjourned the case to November 10.
