The M7 motorway
A man was prosecuted after being found driving at 180 km/h on the M7.
Naas District court heard that Anthony Quinn, 35, whose address was given as Camira, Mountmellick, was driving on the southbound M7 after 8pm on April 25, 2023.

Garda Paudie Vaughan told of receiving a call about an alleged incident of dangerous driving and when he arrived at the scene the defendant had pulled over.
The garda said the car was being driven at an erratic high speed and was weaving in and out.
He arrested the defendant at 8.50pm
Gda Vaughan said at one stage the defendant was driving at 160 km/h.
He said the driving took place at junctions 10, 11 and 12 and covered a distance of between 15 and 20 kilometres.
The court heard that the defendant had a number of previous convictions, including for road traffic offences, but none for dangerous driving and he was not disqualified at the time.
The court also heard that the defendant pulled over straight away and was cooperative with the garda.
There was no attempt to evade the gardaí.
There was no damage to property and nobody was injured.
He was in custody at the time of the hearing and Judge Michael Ramsey imposed a six months custody term.
