Kildare road speed limit cut from 100kmph to 60kpmh during works

The speed limit on a section of the Moone to Timolin road is to be cut from 100mph to 60mph while cycle lanes are installed.

Kildare County Council has advised that a portion of the R448 Moone to Timolin road will have the reduced speed limit from 250m North of the junction between the R448 and R747 on the R448 to 260m South of the Southern entrance to Moone Village on the R448.

This change will apply from next Tuesday, August 26 to Friday, 19 December.

The council said Nno diversions routes are required and the reduced speed limit of 60 km/h will be clearly signposted as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
