Water stations and fountains should be provided in Kildare

Water filling stations and fountains should be provided in County Kildare.

Requests for the stations and fountains have come from two councillors - Angela Feeney and Paul Ward.

Cllr Feeney said the stations would "encourage members of the public to reduce their plastic waste."

Cllr Ward said funding is available under a new scheme "for the provision of a number of public drinking water fountains" including as sports and recreational areas.
