Concern over mobile homes encampment on land in Kildare

Councillor wants to know if this will be a new halting site

Kildare County Council has been asked to explain why it has allowed an encampment to materialise.

Naas mayor Seamie Moore wants KCC to explain why “it has allowed the movement of a number of mobile homes and caravans into its Sallins/Osberstown Aqueduct compound.”

The independent councillor claimed that KCC had previously made a commitment to secure the site “from such unofficial intrusions.”

Cllr Moore is seeking a statement from KCC “on reports of the future use of this compound as a new halting site.”
