It can be depressing when one hears news about and / or witnesses video footage posted online of the ongoing crisis in Gaza, day in and day out.
Fortunately, as is true with every charitable venture, every small action helps.
And if anyone living in County Kildare wants to help at-risk Palestinians affected by the crisis, they will have the chance to do so this weekend, as a craft fair in aid of Palestine will take place in Robertstown.
Irish Visual Artists for Gaza, the group who is organising the fair, announced on Instagram that the event will be "a fun-filled family afternoon".

The group also expressed its gratitude for artists on Instagram who contributed and donated their works to the event: @karen_h_art_; @craftyirishgirl; and @farrell_annemarie.
In addition, Irish Visal Artists for Gaza said that the event will also feature face painting, live music from Mairead Carroll, and food and coffee provided by Poppy May's Coffee and Cakes.
The craft fair will take place just outside of Mulvaney's Shop on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
It will run from 12pm until 4pm.
