No money to spend on noise reducing measures in this Kildare village

Johnstown

Suggested measures to tackle noise created by passing cars in this Kildare village can't be undertaken.

Cllr Fintan Brett asked Kildare County Council "change the ramp to a raised platform" on the Punchestown Road at Johnstown.

He wanted this done to to alleviate noise pollution in the adjoining cottages.

But KCC replied that "due to limited resources at this time" the work cannot be done.

However it "may be considered in the 2026 programme subject to budget availability."
