Craft brewers in Co Kildare are set to feature at the Dublin Beer Festival this weekend.
Beer, cider and spirits fans are set for a bumper weekend as the Dublin Beer Festival returns to the RDS on this Friday and Saturday, September 12 and 13.
More than 50 breweries, cider makers and distilleries from Ireland, Europe and North America will be pouring over 200 different drinks across the two days, making it one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the country.
Representing Kildare will be Kildare Brewing in Sallins, Rye River in Celbridge and The Drew Drop Brewhouse in Kill.
The festival builds on last year’s sell-out success, with organisers promising an even bigger and more international line-up.
Barrels and bottles are being shipped in from across the Atlantic as well as from breweries across Europe.
Among the Irish brewers taking part are Blacks, Brennan’s Irish Stout, The Dew Drop Brewhouse, Dingle Distillery, Dungarvan, Eight Degrees Brewing, Falling Apple, Galway Bay, Hope, Kildare Brewing, Legacy Irish Craft Cider, Lineman, Lough Gill, Micil Distillery, O’Hara’s, Rascals, Rye River, Trouble Brewing, Urban Brewing, Wicklow Brewery and Wicklow Wolf.
International visitors include 2 Crows, Arpus, Badin, Baxbier, Garrison, Brouwerij Hoop, Horizont, Kaapse, Lone Pine Brewing, Mad Scientist, Mason’s, Moersluetel, Pinta, Portland Zoo, Vault City and the renowned Weihenstephan.
Festival-goers can expect everything from sours, witbiers and brown ales to triple IPAs, Irish reds and stouts, alongside spirits, cocktails and craft cider.
Food stalls will be on site throughout, and the atmosphere will be boosted by DJ sets from Rob Smith, Shelly Gray, David Corway and Kelly-Anne Byrne.
