The driver was stopped following an ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) alert

Court appearance for driver with multiple offences in Mylerstown, Kildare

Following an ANPR alert, Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped a van on the R448 at Mylerstown, Co Kildare recently.

Checks on the Mobility App revealed the driver had:

  • No Insurance

  • No Tax

  • No Certificate of Roadworthiness

  • Driver was disqualified and failed to surrender licence

The driver also tested positive for cocaine and was arrested for Drug Driving.

The van was impounded and the driver was charged and will appear in court soon.

A message from Naas Roads Policing Unit stated: “Keeping unsafe and uninsured drivers off our roads makes them safer for everyone.”
