A garda investigation has been launched after three vehicles at a North Kildare residence caught on fire.
Details of the incident were relayed to KFM yesterday (September 17 last) by Garda Aidan McGuane.
Gda McGuane told host Clem Ryan that the fire took place in the early hours of Saturday, September 13 last and that the residence was located in The Beeches, Castlefin region of Clane.
He added that one car was initially set on fire by the perpetrator(s), and this fire proceeded to spread to two nearby vehicles.
Gda McGuane also said that the fire was later extinguished and that gardaí are currently reviewing CCTV footage in relation to this incident.
He concluded by urging anyone with information relating to the fire to contact Clane Garda Station on 045 868 262.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this particular incident, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí received a report of an alleged criminal damage by fire incident involving three vehicles in Castlefin, County Kildare on Saturday, September 13, 2025 between the hours of 1.20am and 1.40am."
The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.
