Planning permission has been granted for a €611,000 extension to an existing funeral home in Allenwood, Co. Kildare.
The development, at Allenwood Middle, Naas will see the Glennon Funeral Directors premises expanded to include additional facilities for the local community.
The approved plans provide storage space at first-floor level and new ground-floor rooms, including office space, a tea station, and a wake room.
Permission has also been granted for a single commercial unit measuring 48 square metres, featuring an external shopfront and signage.
The project will connect to existing public foul and surface water mains, with designated parking spaces provided in the existing rear car park, accessed through the current entrance.
Associated site works will also be carried out.
The extension is expected to improve funeral and memorial services in the Allenwood area, offering more space and facilities for local families.
