Kildare County Council (KCC) has announced the extension of a road closure in one County Kildare region.

According to KCC, the extension is being implemented in order to allow for water mains works.

KCC explained that Phase 4 of the closure, between the R448 and Mullacash Middle, will now run until October 12, 2025.

In addition, KCC said that Phase 5, from Mullacash Middle to Swordlestown North, will follow on from October 13, 2025 until November 16, 2025.

Regarding diversions, KCC said that for both phases, they will be provided at the R448 South Ring Rd, R411 and L2023.

Lastly, KCC said: "Any inconvenience caused is regretted."
