A motorist was detected travelling at what Kildare gardai described as a “ridiculous” speed on Kildare's M7 motorway this week.
According to An Garda Síochána Kildare, the motorist was detected travelling earlier this week at 165km/h on the M7 at Osberstown, Co Kildare.
The driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
They now face:
A two-year driving disqualification.
A fine of up to €5000.
Or up to six months in prison.
An Garda Síochána Kildare stated: “Speeding puts lives at risk. Slow down – save lives. #NaasRPU #RoadSafety #SlowDown.”
