The man did not attend the bearing and was not represented and the woman, who was accompanied by a family member, alleged the man is abusive and aggressive and was removed on two occasions from the home by the gardaí.

She further claimed that he banged on a door, was shouting and threatening to break up the house.

She said he was "throwing garden furniture around the place" and she had to call a family member at 2am and that person arrived with their married partner.

”He’s not right in the head," the woman said of her husband.

She also claimed he had pulled wires out of a TV.

The woman added: “He goes gambling and I’m paying all the bills.”

Judge Desmond Zaidan noted that the woman had previously been granted an interim barring order.

He said he would grant a barring order for a three year period.

The judge suggested that the woman could annul the marriage, rather than go through the process of a separation and divorce.
