Members of An Garda Síochána (AGS) based in County Kildare are investigating two separate criminal damage incidents in Naas and Athy respectively.

Both incidents were highlighted by Garda David Prendergast on KFM when he appeared on one of the station's programme on Wednesday, October 15 last.

Regarding the first incident, he explained that the incident occurred on Leinster Street in Athy on Sunday, October 12 last.

He told host Hannah Kelly that between 11.35am and 1pm, criminal damage was caused to a Black Volkwagen Passat car which was parked on the street at the time.

Gda Prendergast added that the owner of the car noticed a scratch on the side of their car, which "appeared to have been caused by a sharp implement of some sort".

He concluded by urging anyone with information about this incident to contact Athy Garda Station on 059 863 4210.
