New rooms proposed for student accommodation building in Kildare

New rooms have been proposed for a student accommodation building located in North Kildare.

Applicant DHD Coachman Limited is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) to make the changes to The Duke Student Accommodation premises, which is located on the Main Street of Maynooth.

It is also located near Maynooth University.

According to the description contained within the application, the applicant intends to change the Common Room on the ground floor into three single rooms with en-suites and a storage room.

The application also notes that the premises is a protected structure (RPS B05-47).

The date received is listed as October 10 last, while the submission-by and due dates were listed as November 13, 2025 and December 4, 2025 respectively.

According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, DHD Coachman Ltd also trades as The Duke Maynooth.

It was established in 2022 and specialises in the "development of building projects".

DHD Coachman Ltd has a registered address listed as Carrownedin House, Carrownedin, Enniscrone, County Sligo (F26 DC82).
