A box of aftershave, along with a phone, were both stolen from a car parked which was in Kildare town.
Details of the crime were highlighted by a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS) who appeared as a guest on a KFM radio programme which aired earlier today (October 22).
Garda Lenny Donnellan told host Hannah Kelly that the incident took place between 11.15am and 11.45am on Sunday, October 19 last.
According to Gda Donnellan, the car was unlocked at the time, and the perpetrator(s) stole a box of Versace aftershave, along with a Samsung phone, from the vehicle.
He concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this theft to contact Kildare town Garda Station on 045 527 730.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about this incident, a spokesperson for AGS responded: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of theft from [a] vehicle in Kildare town, County Kildare that occurred at approximately 11.15am on Sunday, October 19 last.
"No damaged [was] caused to the vehicle."
The spokesperson added: "Investigation is ongoing."
