A variety of changes could be on the way for one shopping centre located in County Kildare.

Le Monde Holdings Limited is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) to make the changes to the Abbeylands Shopping Centre, Westgrove Hotel and Conference Centre, Abbeylands, in Clane.

According to the description within the application, the company is seeking permission for:

  • The construction of new office, administration and conference spaces (circa 161.1 square metres) at first floor level over existing ground floor Unit 10, Unit 09 (Pharmacy) and the existing main entrance to Abbeylands Shopping Centre
  • Associated alterations to the southwest elevation of the main shopping centre entrance, along with access to the proposed new offices via a new stairs to be located within existing Unit 10
  • The construction of a second entrance at the first floor level off the existing courtyard / roof garden, to also allow access to the existing hotel via the existing courtyard / roof garden
  • All other associated site development works

The date received on the application is listed as October 22 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as November 25, 2025 and December 16, 2025.

The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that Le Monde Holdings Ltd may also trade as Westar Group Holdings.

It was established in 1990 and has a registered address listed as C/O Dodd and Company, Solicitors, Dmg Business Centre Camden Row Dublin 8, County Dublin.
